1939-1945 Star

The 1939-1945 Star was awarded to Army and Navy personnel for six months operational service during the war. Operational aircrew qualified for the medal after two months of service, under operational command between 3 September 1939 and 2 September 1945.
Ribbon: consists of equal bands of dark blue, red and sky blue, symbolising the navies, armies and air forces of the Empire.
